Football Takes Down Memphis, 28-21

A 19-yard touchdown strike from Rob Calabrese to Khymest Williams put UCF up 28-7 in the third quarter, and the Knights held on for a 28-21 victory over Memphis at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium Saturday. It was UCF's second-straight Conference USA road win, as it moved its record to 4-7 overall and 3-4 in C-USA play.

After trailing by as many as 10 points in its home opener midway through the second half, UCF (1-1) rallied for a 71-69 win over visiting FAMU (2-1) Friday night in non-conference women's basketball action at UCF Arena.Sophomore Emma Cannon and junior Marcquitta Head both posted double-doubles to lead the Knights comeback. Cannon tallied 18 points and 11 rebounds while Head added 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The UCF volleyball team was honored Wednesday night at the Conference USA Volleyball Championship Banquet with its first all-conference selection and its second all-academic selection since joining the league in 2005. Senior Stephanie Serna (San Antonio, Texas) became the first Knight to be selected to the All-C-USA Second Team, while fellow senior Jenny Heppert (Lawrence, Kan.) garnered her second-consecutive selection to the C-USA All-Academic Team.

Keith Clanton Signs NLI with UCF Men's Basketball

Orlando's Keith Clanton, one of the premier prep players in the nation, confirmed his commitment to the UCF men's basketball program Wednesday, signing a National Letter of Intent to play for head coach Kirk Speraw's Knights. A 6-foot-8 forward, Clanton was the Florida Class 1A Player of the Year for Orlando Christian Prep last season and earned MVP honors at the AAU national tournament during the summer.
